Huber Lands Spot on Northwoods All-Star Squad

Senior left-hander Tim Huber has earned a spot on the Northwoods League all-star team for a second year in a row. The Omaha native has a 6-1 record with a 2.61 earned run average this season for the Eua Claire Express.
Huber recorded a 6-3 mark with a 4.12 ERA for the Mavericks as a junior this past year, helping UNO to a regional title and its first-ever berth in the NCAA Division II College World Series.
In addition, Huber's teammate, left-hander Wes Simmons, who has transferred to UNO, also earned a spot on the South Division team. Simmons has a 2-1 record with a 2.20 ERA.
Huber has two complete games among his six starts and has 48 strikeouts in 48 1/3 innings pitched. He has held opponents to a .199 batting average.
The South and North Division all-stars will square off in the annual game on Wednesday night in Mankato, Minn.
