Tyler Albers' 27 Lead Mavs in 96-42 Win

Tyler Albers scored a career-high 27 points, connecting on 7 of 9 three-point shots, to lead the Mavericks to their seventh straight win, 96-42, over York Saturday night at Lee & Helene Sapp Fieldhouse.
The win moves the No. 12-ranked Mavericks to 14-1 on the season before hosting non-conference rival Nebraska-Kearney Monday night at 8. York fell to 2-16. The 14-1 start is the best since 2004-05 when UNO opened the season at 15-1.
UNO, which shot 56.4 percent from the field for the game, scored the first eight points and raced to a 44-23 halftime lead. York was held to just 26.9 percent shooting for the game.
Tyler Albers hit four of his three-pointers the first half. The total is the second-highest in school history behind Zac Robinson's eight in 2006-07 vs. Missouri Western.
Jerry Bennett added 13 points and eight rebounds and freshman Mitch Albers had 11 points.
Jesse Anderson and Brian Towner led York with 10 points apiece.
