Mavs Rally Against Rival Alaska for a 3-1 Win

Fairbanks, Alaska -- Senior forward Bill Bagron, an Eagle River, Alaska native, scored the game-winning goal to lift the Mavericks to a 3-1 victory over Alaska in Friday night's Central Collegiate Hockey Association action.
UNO is now 10-12-3 overall and 7-9-3 in the CCHA while Alaska fell to 5-12-4 overall and 5-9-3 in the conference.
The Nanooks got on the board with just 21 seconds left in the first with a power-play goal from Landon Novotney.
Senior forward Bryan Marshall extended his scoring streak to 12 games with a power-play goal to knot the score at one at 17:25 of the second with assists from senior forward Mick Lawrence and sophomore defenseman Eddie Del Grosso.
Junior goaltender Jerad Kaufmann faced and saved his first collegiate-penalty shot at 14:48 after Jeric Agosta interfered on a UAF breakaway.
Bagron ended the tie at 13:06 of the third period with the lone assist from sophomore forward JJ Koehler. Marshall ended scoring with 35 seconds left off of assists from Koehler and junior defenseman Juha Uotila.
