UNO Tops Western Michigan 6-3

Kalamazoo, Mich. - Sophomore forward Jeric Agosta netted two goals to put the University of Nebraska at Omaha up 6-3 over Western Michigan in Saturday night's Central Collegiate Hockey Association action.
UNO rises to 8-10-3 overall and 5-7-3 in the CCHA and the Broncos fell to 6-12-1 overall and 2-9-0 in the conference.
The two teams face off again on Sunday at 3:05 p.m. CST at the Lawson Ice Arena with live coverage of the game on ESPNU.
The Mavericks got on the board at 13:40 of the first with an unassisted power-play goal by sophomore defenseman Eddie Del Grosso.
UNO made it 2-0 early in the second stanza when freshman forward Matt Ambroz deflected a slap shot from the point by freshman defenseman Alain Goulet with the second assist from Nick Von Bokern.
Western Michigan cut the Mav lead in half with a one-timer off of the faceoff by Cam Watson at 7:54 during four on four play.
Agosta scored his first goal of the night off of assists from sophomore forward Nick Fanto and junior defenseman Juha Uotila at 10:29.
Just 14 seconds later WMU responded with an unassisted goal from Mike Lesperance.
Senior forward Brandon Scero netted the third-power-play goal for UNO at 14:26, assists going to senior forwards Mick Lawrence and Bryan Marshall.
Nebraska-Omaha extended the lead to 5-3 in the third with the team's second shorthanded goal of the season at 10:10 by junior forward Tomas Klempa with the single helper from Uotila.
The Broncos returned the favor 19 seconds later with the team's only power-play goal of the night from Jeff LoVecchio.
The Mavs finished off scoring with Agosta's second goal with assists from Ambroz and Fanto.
