14-1 Mavs Entertain Augustana in NCC Opener

The Mavericks will put their best start in school history on the line Thursday night as they open North Central Conference play against Augustana at 6 at Lee & Helene Sapp Fieldhouse.
UNO, 14-1, has not played at home in three weeks, but is coming off a three-game sweep in Hawaii that has extended its winning streak to nine games.
Augustana, 14-3, slipped from its No. 25 ranking to one spot out of the NABC Division II Top 25 this week.
UNO claimed wins in two of three meetings last year against the Vikings.
After Thursday's contest, the Mavericks will host Nebraska-Kearney Monday night in their final non-conference game of the year. Tip-off Monday is also at 6 p.m.
All UNO games for the rest of the season will be broadcast over the Mavericks' official radio station, KOZN, 1620 AM, with David Gustafson on the call.
