Men's Basketball Exhibition Opener Gets New Time

AMES, Iowa - Iowa State University announced on Tuesday that its exhibition game against the University of Nebraska at Omaha on Saturday, Nov. 8 now will be played at 3:30 p.m. The game had originally been scheduled to start at 12:30 p.m.
Head coach #Derrin Hansen# will lead the Mavericks into action on Saturday looking to build on their record-setting season from a year ago. The Mavs won a school-record 25 games in 2007-08 and won the final North Central Conference playoff championship. UNO then went to the NCAA Division II Regionals before losing in the semifinals to eventual national champion, Winona State.
The Mavericks open the 2008-09 regular season when they host Doane College at the Sapp Fieldhouse on Saturday, Nov. 15 at 4:00 p.m.
