No. 24 Mavericks Take Minnesota Road Trip

The University of Nebraska at Omaha men's basketball team, which finds itself back in the NCAA II Top 25, will visit St. Cloud State and Minnesota State, Mankato in North Central Conference action this week.
UNO's 15-point upset victory over then-No. 4 South Dakota on Saturday catapulted the Mavericks back into the Top 25, coming in at No. 24. The team remained in the No. 6 spot in the North Central Region. Jerry Bennett posted his seventh double-double of the year, and second in a row against USD, with 12 points and 13 rebounds, earning him the Nebraska Division II Player of the Week award.
The Huskies stand at 16-7 on the year, 4-4 in NCC play. St. Cloud has lost two of its last three, starting with a 93-76 loss at UNO on Feb. 2. Their most recent outing was a 12-point home loss to Minnesota State, with a 12-point win over North Dakota in between.
David Dreas leads the team with 18.0 ppg, adding 3.4 rpg with 52 total steals. Matt Schneck is the top rebounder with 6.8 per game, adding 12.6 ppg, second-best on the team.
The Mavericks' win over the Huskies two weeks ago broke a six-game win streak by St. Cloud in the series. Overall, the Huskies still hold a 35-23 lead in the all-time series.
Minnesota State leads the NCC with a 7-1 conference record, 18-5 overall. Since suffering its first conference loss to South Dakota, MSU has won two in a row, most recently a 12-point win at St. Cloud State.
Atila Santos earned his second-consecutive NCC Player of theWeek award, giving him four for the year. He averaged 23 points and 17 rebounds last week as MSU swept a pair of games. In MSU's 73-60 win against Minnesota Duluth, Santos finished with a career-high 26 points and a school-record 21 rebounds, becoming the first NCC player to post a 20-20 game. He averages 15.7 ppg and 10.3 rpg overall.
MSU defeated UNO twice last year, increasing its lead in the all-time series to 37-23.
