Mavericks Gear Up For Ohio State

Nebraska-Omaha returns home to the Qwest Center Omaha Feb. 8-9 to host clustermate Ohio State, the games start at 7:05 p.m. CST. Feb. 9 is senior night for the Mavericks and the game will be televised by Nebraska Educational Television across the state and simulcast on CSTV.
Media Coverage
The games will be broadcast on KKAR, 1290 AM, with the pre-game show beginning 30 minutes before face-off. Greg Harrington will call the action, with Terry Leahy providing color commentary.
The Records
UNO now stands at 12-13-3 overall and is fifth with a record of 9-10-3 in the CCHA, the Buckeyes are 5-14-1 in the conference and 9-19-2 overall.
The Coaches
Nebraska-Omaha's Mike Kemp is in his 11th season as the Maverick head coach. Kemp is a 1975 graduate of Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minn. The Duluth, Minn., native is 174-200-48 at UNO overall and has a 100-110-36 mark in the CCHA. The Buckeyes are coached by John Markell who is in his twelfth season with OSU. Markell has a record of 239-228-44 and is 11-11-3 against UNO.

Last Meeting
UNO traveled to OSU Nov. 8-9 and swept the Buckeyes with a pair of 5-2 victories. Jerad Kaufmann stopped 45 of 49 shots on the weekend and Bryan Marshall netted a goal and three assists.
Last Week
The Mavs split with No. 4/5 Michigan State with a 5-4 overtime win Friday night and a 4-2 loss Saturday afternoon. Dan Charleston netted the game-winning-overtime goal Friday 15 seconds after he finished serving a two-minute penalty for hooking.
