Green on All-NCC Team; Brodsack Newcomer of Year

Sophomore guard Alyssa Green was named to the 10-member all-North Central Conference team by a vote of the league's coaches and teammate Amanda Brodsack was named the Newcomer of the Year.
Green, the 2007 Freshman of the Year in the NCC, averaged 14.7 points and 5.8 rebounds per game in conference play for the Mavericks this season. The 5-9 native of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, led the team in scoring at 14.1 per game, steals and assists and was third in rebounding.
Brodsack, a 6-1 junior forward who is also from Cedar Rapids, started all but one game in UNO's 17-12 season, averaging 9.3 points and 5.9 rebounds. Brodsack came to UNO last fall after playing two years at Kirkwood Community College.
