Mar 12, 2008 | Hockey
FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich.-- University of Nebraska at Omaha senior forward Bryan Marshall was named to the Central Collegiate Hockey Association All-Conference Second Team Wednesday.
Despite missing the past eight games due to injury, Marshall remains ranked among the top point scores in the nation and CCHA.
The senior captain from Livonia, Mich. is seventh nationally in points scored with 43 (13-30-43) and his 30 points (10-20-30) recorded in CCHA games ties him with three other for the fourth highest total in the conference.
Marshall ranked second in the country in assists with 30, while the 20 helpers he collected in league play was a conference best.
Sophomore defenseman Eddie Del Grosso, who last year was named to the CCHA All-Rookie Team, earned honorable-mention all-conference honors Wednesday, scoring 21 points (7-14-21) in 28 conference games.
The teams were selected by a vote of the league's head coaches and were based on performance in league games. Coaches were not allowed to vote for their own player.
