Mavericks Spending Break in Florida for Nine Games

The University of Nebraska at Omaha baseball team will spend its Spring Break in Fort Myers, Fla., participating in the Gene Cusic Classic, March 14-18.
The Mavericks (5-5) will play nine games in five days, taking on Hillsdale, East Stroudsburg, Ashland, and Felician in single games, then doubleheaders on the final two days against St. Michael's and NCC foe Minnesota Duluth.
Last year the Mavericks went 2-3 in five games in Fort Myers, including splitting two games with Ashland.
Last week, to avoid weather concerns, UNO played a series of five neutral-site games in Kansas and Missouri, going 4-1. After returning from Florida the Mavericks will play a pair of doubleheaders against Augustana in Sioux City, Iowa, which will count as nonconference games. The North Central Conference season starts April 5th when the Mavericks host North Dakota for four games.
