UNO Gets Third Shot at Mankato in NCC Semifinals

After overcoming a 16-point second-half deficit to win its first-round game, the University of Nebraska at Omaha men's basketball team next faces top-seeded Minnesota State, Mankato on its home court in the semifinals of the North Central Conference tournament Saturday afternoon.
No. 9 MSU (22-5) won both meetings this year and has taken the last four meetings with UNO (22-6). Mankato won 94-82 on its home court on Feb. 16. UNO narrowly missed the upset at Sapp Fieldhouse on March 1, as MSU squeaked out an 86-83 victory.
The UNO-MSU meeting will be at 4 p.m. at the Taylor Center. It will be preceded by the other semifinals, pitting North Dakota against Augustana, at 2 p.m. The winners will meet in the finals Sunday at 2 p.m.
Fans can tune in to KOZN 1620-AM for all UNO games, with airtime approximately 10 minuntes before tip-off.
