Porter Named NCC Player of the Week

Evan Porter has been named Co-North Central Conference Player of the Week making it the sixth straight week a Maverick has earned NCC honors. Porter shares the honor with Andrew Heieie of Minnesota Duluth.
Porter, a junior from Omaha, Neb., had a huge weekend for UNO hitting grand slams in back to back games against Augustana. For the week he hit .571 (8-14) with 14 RBIs, seven runs scored, four doubles, two home runs and two walks.
The Mavericks travel to future MIAA foes for midweek action, Tuesday UNO visits Washburn for a single nine-inning game, then Wednesday the Mavs play a doubleheader at Fort Hays State.
