
Mavs Open Regional Against Minnesota State

The University of Nebraska at Omaha opens play in the NCAA II Central Regional Thursday at 3:30 against Minnesota State, Mankato, at Emporia State University's Trusler Sports Complex.
UNO (42-11) will be taking on MSU (27-23) for the seventh time this season, winning five of the first six meetings, including a 17-0 victory in the North Central Conference championship game.
If UNO wins, it will play the winner of the Wayne State-Central Missouri game Friday at 7 p.m. Should the team lose, it would play at noon Friday against in an elimination game against either Emporia State or Concordia-St. Paul.
Fans can get all the up-to-the-minute information by logging on the UNO Athletics Web site, gomavs.unomaha.edu. From there, fans can link to live stats of all games, the official tournament Web site, and listen to live coverage of the games via Teamline.
The games will not be available on the radio, as previously planned. Yano Mangiameli and Bob Flannery will call the action, with airtime approximately 10 minutes before the first pitch.
