Mavericks Add Local High School Standout

University of Nebraska at Omaha head baseball coach Bob Herold announced today the signing of Papillion-LaVista High School standout Colby McCord to a national letter of intent to attend the UNO in the fall of 2008.
McCord led the state of Nebraska with four saves, while recording a 1.24 ERA. He finished the 2008 season with nine doubles, helping the Monarchs to an 11-13 record.
McCord, who was coached by Jim Thomas at PLHS, will likely move to catcher for the Mavericks.
