Reicks Named MIAA Specialist Of The Week

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A school-record 46 digs earned sophomore libero Angie Reicks the MIAA specialist of the week award announced Tuesday.
Reicks set the record Friday against Central Missouri. The previous high was 39 by Kevin Campbell in 1994. Reicks' previous high was 37, set earlier this year.
Reicks' big performance moved her from seventh to fifth in the MIAA with 4.58 digs per set. She has reached double figures in digs in 27 of 33 matches this year, including each of the last 12.
Reicks' total of 577 digs is the third highest single-season mark in school history and this is just the eighth time that a player has recorded at least 500 digs.
This is Reicks' first honor this year and the fifth for UNO. Emily Myers won three times as a setter and Ellen Thommes won once as a hitter.
