Volleyball Playoffs on Tap in Maverick Roundup

OMAHA, Neb. - The UNO volleyball team makes its sixth straight appearance in the NCAA Division II Playoffs, and head coach #Rose Shires# says her team has the capability to go deep into the tournament. She'll talk about her team and its upcoming opponent, eighth-ranked Washburn, in this week's Maverick Roundup, the official podcast of UNO athletics.
The Mavericks concluded the season with a record of 20-13 and earned the seventh seed in the South Central Regional. Shires and the Mavericks will have to win three matches to advance to the National Tournament in December.
Also this week, UNO hockey forward Dan Swanson talks with host #Dave Ahlers# about the team's recent split with Lake Superior State and its upcoming road series with Northern Michigan on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 20 and 21.
