Mavericks Tick Up In College Hockey Poll

OMAHA, Neb. - The UNO hockey team moved up a spot in one of two weekly polls for Division I college hockey this week. The Mavericks are coming off a 4-3, 4-2 home sweep of Western Michigan last weekend to improve to 7-4-3 and 4-4-2-1 in the Central Collegiate Hockey Association, good for a tie for sixth place with Northern Michigan.
The Mavericks are now 18th in the latest USCHO.com poll, up one spot from the previous week. They are in the "Receiving Votes" category of the USA Today/USA Hockey poll, unchanged from last week. The Mavericks also held their place in the latest power rankings from the website InsideCollegeHockey.com. The Mavs are 19th.
UNO will play its next five games on the road beginning with a two-game series at Ferris State University on Friday and Saturday, Dec. 4 and 5. Friday's game begins at 6:05 p.m. CT while Saturday's game starts at 4:05 p.m. CT. Both games can be heard live on 90.7 FM, KVNO and on-line at KVNO.org.
