Mavericks Change Positions in Weekly Polls

OMAHA, Neb. - The UNO hockey team moved down ever so slightly in the weekly rankings of Division I college hockey teams this week. The Mavericks are preparing for a two-game home series against CCHA foe Lake Superior State on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 13 and 14. Game time is 7:35 p.m. on Friday and 7:05 p.m. on Saturday.
The Mavs are 12th in this week's USA Today/USA Hockey top 15 poll, down two spots from last week following their loss and shootout win over Michigan State. UNO slipped just one spot in the weekly USCHO.com poll, moving from 10th to 11th.
The website InsideCollegeHockey.com put UNO seventh in its weekly power rankings, down one spot from last week.
The Mavericks are 4-1-3 overall and 1-1-2-1 in the CCHA, good for a three-way tie for sixth with Ferris State and Michigan. UNO is one of three CCHA teams with only one loss this season, joining #1 Miami and #9 Alaska.
Tickets for this weekend's games against Lake Superior State at Qwest Center Omaha are on sale at the Qwest Center box office and the Sapp Fieldhouse box office on the UNO campus.
