Mavericks Get Vote in Weekly Poll

OMAHA, Neb. - The UNO hockey team still appears in one of the weekly Division I college hockey polls this week. The Mavericks are 8-7-3 and 5-7-2-1 in the Central Collegiate Hockey Association as they prepare for their final action before the Christmas break.
The Mavs were in the "Also Receiving Votes" category in the USCHO.com weekly poll. They fell out of the USA Today/USA Hockey poll this week following a split last week at #16 Alaska. The Mavs lost 4-3 on Friday night but rebounded with a 5-3 win on Saturday night for their first CCHA road win.
UNO will finish off its season-high five-game road trip on Friday, Dec. 18 when they visit Minnesota State for a 7:37 p.m. face off at Mankato, Minn. They return home the next night to host Minnesota State at Qwest Center Omaha. Game time is 7:05 p.m. Tickets for Saturday's game are on sale at the Qwest Center box office and at the Sapp Fieldhouse box office. All the action of both games can be heard on 90.7 FM, KVNO.
