Behrns Talks Kanza Bowl on This Week's Podcast

OMAHA, Neb. - The UNO football team will be a part of history this weekend as it competes in the first ever Kanza Bowl on Saturday, Dec. 5. The Mavericks will square off with West Texas A&M at 1 p.m. in Topeka, Kan. UNO head coach Pat Behrns talks about the game and the benefits of the practice time that led up to it in this week's Maverick Roundup, the official podcast of UNO athletics.
Also this week, forward Ashley Nelson of the UNO women's basketball team talks with host #Dave Ahlers# about the beginning of the MIAA schedule this week including games against Washburn on Wednesday and Fort Hays State on Saturday. Nelson also talks about this year's team, one that is very long on youth and relies heavily on its veteran leaders.
