UNO Basketball on KOIL 1180 AM This Week

OMAHA, Neb. - Fans won't have to turn the dial to hear all of the action of the UNO men's and women's basketball in the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association Championship Tournament this week. Both men's and women's games will be heard on KOIL 1180 AM throughout the tournament.
For listeners, this will be a change as men's games aired on 1620 The Zone during the regular season. This will not be the case during the tournament due to schedule conflicts. All broadcasts will begin with the pre-game show 10 minutes before game time.
The tournament begins for the Mavericks on Thursday, March 5 when the fifth-seeded men face the fourth-seeded Fort Hays State University Tigers in the second game of the afternoon session. Tip off is scheduled for 2:15 p.m.
The sixth-seeded UNO women begin play on Friday, March 6 when they play the third-seeded Pittsburg State University Gorillas in the second game of the evening session. Game time will be 8:15 p.m.
David Gustafson will call the play-by-play of all tournament games. In addition to KOIL, fans can hear the games on-line at omavs.com.
