Home-Opener with Augustana Postponed

OMAHA, Neb. - UNO's home-opener with Augustana (S.D.) Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Claussen-Westgate Field has been postponed due to cold and wet weather. A possible make-up date will be announced later.
The Mavericks are coming off a 4-1 weekend at the Missouri Southern Teri (Mathis) Zenner Memorial Tournament and they are 9-3 overall, playing their first 12 games on the road.
UNO will have to continue its season-opening road trip as it travels to Emporia State for the AAUW Softball Showdown with five games scheduled Friday through Sunday. UNO will then play eight games next week in Orlando, Fla., before returning home for its next scheduled home games, a March 25 doubleheader with Wayne State (Neb.)
Even if the AC game is not rescheduled, the two teams are schedule to meet once this weekend at ESU and in a doubleheader on April 21 at Augustana.
