UNO Heads to Warrensburg for its Last MIAA Road Tr

OMAHA, Neb. - The 28th-ranked University of Nebraska at Omaha baseball team will travel to Warrensburg, Mo. for their last road trip of the season. The Mavs will face 29th-ranked MIAA foe Central Missouri beginning with a doubleheader on Friday April 24, at 4 p.m. The series will wrap up on Saturday, April 25, the teams will play a doubleheader set to start at 2 p.m. This is a change in the original schedule due to the threat of inclement weather.
The Records
Last week, the Mavericks improved their record to 34-13 overall and 24-8 in the MIAA to stay in second place behind Emporia State. UNO split its four-game series with Fort Hays State last weekend. The Mavs were swept on Sunday, 11-4 and 10-6. The Mavericks repaid the favor on Monday, sweeping both games, 6-2 and 16-6. Rockhurst has a record of 31-14 on the season and is 11-6 when playing at home. Central Missouri is currently third in the MIAA with a record 20-8. The Mules have a 16-6 home record and are 31-10 overall.
The Coaches
#Bob Herold# is in his tenth season as the UNO head coach. The 1972 graduate of UNO was a 1971 NAIA All-American for the Mavericks. He is 329-197-2 all-time as a college head coach. Herold is assisted by #Chris Gadsden# (10th Season) and Dan McGinn (9th Season). Rockhurst is coached by Gary Burns who is in his 16th season. He has a career record of 482-321 since taking over for the Hawks. Central Missouri is coached by Tom Myers who is in his 2nd season with the team. He has a career record of 78-27 at Central Missouri. Myers is assisted by Matt Murray, Scott Thomason, Pat Evers, and Daryl Cronk.
The Series
UNO holds a distinct advantage over Rockhurst with an all-time series record of 20-6. UNO trails in the all-time series with Central Missouri by a total of five games. The Mavericks all-time record versus the Mules sits at 6-11.

#Andrew Hansen# leads the team in batting average at .432, doubles (27), runs (54), and hits (76).
