The University of Nebraska at Omaha baseball team will host Washburn in the final games of the 2009 regular season. The series begins on Saturday, May 2 with a doubleheader at 1:30 p.m. at the Ballpark at Boystown. The Mavs will host Senior Day festivities between games. The two teams conclude the series on May 3 at 12 p.m. in a doubleheader.
The Records
The Mavericks are now 35-16 overall and 25-11 in the MIAA. UNO took one-of-four from Central MIssouri in the four-game series. The Mavs won the first game 5-1, but dropped the next three games of the series. Washburn is 21-25 on the year and 14-18 in the MIAA. The Ichabods are 4-7 on the road.

Bob Herold is in his tenth season as the UNO head coach. The 1972 graduate of UNO was a 1971 NAIA All-American for the Mavericks. He is 330-200-2 all-time as a college head coach. Herold is assisted by Chris Gadsden (10th Season) and Dan McGinn (9th Season). Washburn is coached by Steve Anson who is in his 30th season as the head coach. Anson has a record of 714-639 with the Ichabods and 737-661-3 for his career. He is assisted by Nick Ginapp (2nd season) and Mike Amend (1st season).
