Mavericks Put Five on All-MIAA Team

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. - The Mavericks put three players on the all-MIAA second team as the all-conference honors were announced Friday before the postseason tournament started. Two others earned honorable mention.
Melissa Negrete was named to the second team as a pitcher, Molly Feichtinger was named as a designated player and Lindsey Slocum was named as a utility player. She played as a pitcher and center fielder this year.
Second baseman Treightin Yates and third baseman Jenna Dell were named honorable mention.
This is UNO's first year in the MIAA. Yates was an honoree last year on the all-North Central Conference team.
