Slocum named NFCA first team all-region as utility

NFCA All-Region Teams
Maverick sophomore Lindsey Slocum was named to the Louisville Slugger/National Fastpitch Coaches Association all-South Central Region first team. Also an all-MIAA second-teamer, Slocum pitched and played center field for Nebraska-Omaha this year.
Slocum earned the nod as a utility player that pitched. There was also an award given to a utility player that did not pitch.
She went 15-4 in the circle with a 2.41 ERA and she batted .269 during the year with five homers. She committed just one error in 83 chances.
The Mavericks went 45-17 this year and advanced to the South Central Region-1 championship round. They went 14-6 in their first year in the MIAA to finish fourth.
