OMAHA, Neb. – UNO athletics, in partnership with the University of Nebraska Foundation, is giving all former student-athletes an opportunity to reconnect with their college athletic roots. The two entities have formed the Varsity Club, a non-profit with the goal of keeping former Mavericks and Omaha University Indians in touch with the current events involving Omaha's Team.
“We wanted to offer a chance for those who have given so much to UNO athletics as student-athletes to be a part of our exciting future,” said Trev Alberts, UNO's Director of Athletics. “With their participation in the Varsity Club, they will help strengthen our on-going efforts and continue to be a part of Omaha's Team in a meaningful way.”
