Mavs Partcipate in Varsity Club Phone-A-Thon

The Maverick Varsity Club held its annual phone-a-thon April 8-10, 2014. Twenty-five current Maverick student-athletes called former UNO student-athletes and asked them to be a part of the Maverick Varsity Club, the association of former athletes.
"The Varsity Club Phone-A-Thon was a great success," coordinator Kelley Wollak of the UNO volleyball team said. "The current athletes had a lot of fun chatting and reconnecting with former athletes. I look forward to the growth of the Varsity Club and an increased presence of alumni in the athletic department."
This year's Varsity Club campaign is to raise funds for additional scholarships for student-athletes (goal of an addition $25,000) and a gift to each graduating senior at the annual Maverick Awards Banquet.
