Baier Earns Second Player of the Week Award

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Redshirt freshman #Nicole Baier# scored four goals and added two assists in wins over MIAA rivals Missouri Western and Truman last week to earn her second consecutive MIAA offensive player of the week award.
On Sept.10 against the Griffons, Baier netted two goals, including what proved to be the game-winner in the 37th minute of the first half. She added an assist in the 4-2 win as well.
The Omaha, Neb., native continued her offensive surge in a 4-1 win against Truman on Sept. 12. She scored two more goals, including the game winner at 14:10 of the first half and added an assist in the match.
Baier leads the Mavericks and the MIAA in goals (7), assists (4) and points (18).
The Mavericks will be in action Thursday, Sept. 17 when they host MIAA rival Central Missouri. Both teams bring a 2-0 conference record to the field. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m. at UNO Soccer Field.
