OMAHA, Neb. – UNO head men's basketball coach #Derrin Hansen# announced today the signing of wing Torrian Harris for the upcoming season.
“We were fortunate to find someone of Torrian's caliber as we prepare for our second season in the MIAA,” said Hansen. “We like his athleticism, and we think he will provide us with some key depth at the wing position.”
Harris, a native of Saginaw, Mich., comes to UNO from Lansing Community College. He was a second team All-American and the conference most valuable player while averaging nearly 21 points and more than seven rebounds a game. He finished his junior college career with 985 points and was voted the team MVP last season. He also made the Michigan Community College Athletic Association all-tournament team.
Prior to college, Harris lettered in basketball, baseball and football for Saginaw High School where he was a member of the National Honor Society and the recipient of the school's Scholar Athlete award.
