FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. - UNO defenseman #Eddie DelGrosso# was named today to the Central Collegiate Hockey Association's Preseason All-Conference second team. Players were chosen in a vote of the league's 12 head coaches.
DelGrosso earns the nod after being selected to the CCHA All-Conference Second Team following the 2008-09 season. The native of Las Vegas, Nev. was UNO's top scorer last season, finishing with six goals and 28 assists for 34 points. The senior finished 16th in scoring in the league and was tied for eleventh in overall scoring among CCHA players. DelGrosso was the only Maverick selected to either the first or second teams.
The Mavericks begin the 2009-2010 season with new head coach #Dean Blais# at the helm on Monday, Oct. 5 when they host the University of Lethbridge in an exhibition game. Face-off will be 7:35 p.m. at Qwest Center Omaha. Please note the face-off time.
