Mavs Debut at No. 4 in NCAA Region Poll

The Mavericks were No. 4 in the first NCAA South Central Region ranking released Wednesday by the NCAA office. Nebraska-Omaha is 14-4 overall and 11-4 against NCAA teams in the region. The top eight teams in each of the eight regions at the end of the regular season advance to the NCAA tournament.
The MIAA is well represented in the ranking. Fort Hays State, with a perfect 12-0 record against in-region competition, is No. 1 while Central Missouri is No. 2. Southwest Baptist is No. 6 and Missouri Western No. 8 in the region.
The Mavs went 2-2 against those four teams and will play at FHSU tonight at 7:30 p.m.
