Moore Finishes Second at Husker Multi Challenge

LINCOLN, Neb. - UNO's #Shannon Moore# finished a close second to an athlete from Nebraska at the Husker Multi Challenge, a pentathlon/heptathlon meet, at Nebraska on Saturday. Moore finished with 3,630 points, just 29 points behind the Huskers' Rachel Butler.

The meet marked Moore's first competition in the pentathlon this season. She was the only Division II athlete in the field.

Moore began the competition with a second-place finish in the 60 meter hurdles. Her time of 8.84 equalled her personal best earned just one week earlier at Iowa State.

Moore finished in a two-way tie for seventh in the high jump and went on to earn a third-place finish in the shot put. She was fifth in the long jump.

Moore then secured her second-place overall finish with a win in the 800 meter run. Her time of 2:20.80 was more than five seconds ahead of Butler who finished second to secure the first-place finish overall.
