Mavericks Earn Votes In National Poll

For the first time this season, the Mavericks earned votes in the National Association of Basketball Coaches national poll. Nebraska-Omaha earned seven points in the poll released Tuesday afternoon, putting the Mavs five points shy of cracking the top 25.
The Mavericks will head to Truman Wednesday evening before returning home to welcome top-ranked Central Missouri to Sapp Fieldhouse, Saturday at 3:30 p.m. The Mules were 12-0 before falling Monday to No. 10 Fort Hays State.
Nebraska-Omaha is 11-1 overall with a five-game winning streak going. The Mavs' only loss came on December 5 to Fort Hays State.
Fans can purchase tickets to Saturday's showdown by visiting the UNO Ticket Office online at omavs.com/Tickets or by calling (402) 554-MAVS. The UNO women's basketball team will begin Saturday's action with its game against UCM at 1:30 p.m.
