DUNCAN, Okla. - #Dani Suponchick# fired a low round of 74 on Tuesday to lead the UNO golf team to a fourth-place finish at the Oklahoma Intercollegiate tournament hosted by Cameron University. It was the Mavericks' final event of the fall season.
Tarleton State completed its wire-to-wire win, shooting a two-day score of 592, good for a 16-point victory over runner up Northeastern State (608). Central Oklahoma finished in third with a score of 620, just two strokes ahead of UNO (622).
The Mavericks finished the fall season winning four tournaments and finishing second in another. The Oklahoma Intercollegiate featured the deepest tournament the Mavs had played in this fall with 16 teams, most of which hailed from Texas and Oklahoma.
Suponchick finished second for UNO and tied for 11th overall with a two day score of 153. #Armana Christianson# had UNO's best score over two days at the Territory Golf Club with a 152. She closed the tournament with a score of 77 on Tuesday, putting her in a tie for ninth.
#Rebecca Pollock# shot 77 in round two to post a two-day score of 160, placing her third for the Mavs and in a tie for 38th overall. #Ricca Soper# was fourth for UNO with a score of 163, and #Amy Powell# was fifth at 166.
