Mavericks Tied For First at Northwest

Day 1 Results
MARYVILLE, Mo. – The UNO golf team shot 325 to tie for first place after the first round of the Bearcat Fall Classic hosted by Northwest Missouri State. #Ricca Soper# led the Mavericks on day one with a score of 79 at the Mozingo Lake Golf Course.
The Mavs are tied with Missouri Western who got the low round of the day from Natalie Bird who shot a 76. Host Northwest Missouri State was in third at 331. There are seven teams in the tournament.
UNO is playing with a shortened squad after hosting its own tournament just two days ago. Only five Mavericks are taking part in the tournament.
Brooke Thilges is second for UNO and fifth overall with a round of 81 that included a score of 38 on the inward nine. #Melyssa Doerr is tied for sixth overall at 82 while Elizabeth Havekost# is one stroke back and tied for eighth overall. #Christina VonRiesen# was fifth for UNO and tied for 13th overall at 88.
The final round of the event begins Friday morning with a shotgun start at 9 a.m.
