Mavericks Idle But Still Move Up In Polls

OMAHA, Neb. - The UNO hockey team may not have played last week, but the Mavericks did some climbing, reaching eighth in both weekly college hockey polls. The Mavs were number eight in both the USCHO.com poll and the USA Today/USA Hockey Poll.
This is the Mavericks' second consecutive week in the top ten. They were ninth in both polls last week. It's the highest ranking UNO has achieved since 2006.
Also this week, UNO was ranked 14th in the latest power rankings from InsideCollegeHockey.com, unchanged from a week ago.
The Mavericks will host their first ever WCHA games when they welcome Minnesota State to Qwest Center Omaha for games on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 5 and 6. Game times are 7:37 p.m. and 7:07 p.m. respectively. Tickets are on sale all week at the Qwest Center box office, the Sapp Fieldhouse box office and on-line at OmahasTeam.com.
