Weather Forces Schedule Changes for the Weekend
Feb 17, 2010 | General, Softball
The Mavericks planned trip to Hays, Kan., this weekend wasn't far enough south to escape the cold and snow.
Fort Hays State announced Tuesday that the FHSU Crossover has been cancelled and Nebraska-Omaha will now travel to Ada, Okla., to play four games in the East Central Triangular on Saturday and Sunday.
ECU and Pittsburg State will be the other two schools in the event. The Mavs will play the Tigers at 1 p.m. on Saturday and then the Gorillas at 3 p.m. On Sunday UNO will take on PSU at 11 a.m. and ECU at 1 p.m.
The Mavericks, ranked No. 12 in the NFCA preseason poll, remain 1-3 overall after playing in just one weekend tournament. Their event last weekend in Tulsa, Okla., was cancelled.
