OMAHA, Neb. - The UNO football team is bringing in a host of new recruits for the 2010 season, and head coach Pat Behrns says they should keep his team in the hunt in the ultra-competitive Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association. He guests this week on Maverick Roundup, presented by Methodist Health System, the official podcast of UNO athletics.
Behrns speaks with host #Dave Ahlers# about the areas he and his staff tried to recruit for this year and about how they've tried to make inroads into the fertile recruiting ground of the greater Kansas City area.
UNO hockey senior captain Jeric Agosta also talks about his team's approach to the remainder of its season as it battles for a top-four spot in the Central Collegiate Athletics Association. The Mavericks host Ohio State on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 5 and 6. The Mavs will try to "Sell Out Ohio State", a promotion to fill Qwest Center Omaha for the first time in school history.
Maverick Roundup is a weekly program featuring player and coach interviews, game highlights and more. To access the podcast, visit the "Fan Zone" for that and much more. A new Maverick Roundup is posted each Wednesday.
