Lundy Tabbed MIAA Hitter of the Week

KANSAS CITY - Mo. - Maverick outfielder #Tyler Lundy# has been named MIAA Baseball Hitter of the Week for the week of March 2-7 as selected by a conference SID panel. Lundy is first-time honoree in 2010.
The senior from Minot, N.D., turned in a phenomenal weekend at the plate, going 9-for-18 with two home runs, two doubles and a triple for the UNO baseball team in its four-game sweep of conference foe Missouri Southern State University on March 6 and 7.
Lundy knocked in 11 of UNO's 45 runs scored against the Lions, and had a 1.056 slugging percentage. He is hitting .500 on the year with a team-leading 16 RBIs and three HRs. Lundy is tied for first with 17 hits on the team this season.
The Mavs, ranked No. 23 in the latest National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association poll, will head to the Sunshine State to compete in the RussMatt Invitational where they will play seven games against five different teams. On Thursday, March 11, UNO will take on Concordia University, St. Paul at 9 a.m. (CST).
