Rain Pushes Start Of NCAA Tournament To Saturday

WICHITA FALLS, Texas - Continuous rain on Friday delayed and then postponed the start of the NCAA South Central Region I tournament, hosted by Midwestern State. The Mavericks were set to open the event with a 2:30 p.m. game Friday against West Texas A&M. The two teams are now scheduled to play at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Mustangs Park.
MSU and St. Mary's (Texas) will play at 9 a.m. Saturday. The order of the following rounds will be determined later, but they are scheduled to be at 2 p.m. and 4:30.
The Wichita Falls area reportedly got over four inches of rain in the 24 hours leading up to Friday's postponement.
