Mavs Earn Bid to Sixth-Straight NCAA Regional

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - For the sixth consecutive season and seventh time in the #Bob Herold# era, the Nebraska-Omaha baseball team has earned a bid to the NCAA Division II South Central Region tournament, which will be held in Warrensburg, Mo., on May 13-16 at Crane Stadium.
The Mavericks (32-18) will be the sixth seed in the tournament and will face host school Central Missouri (47-8), who earned the first seed and right to host the tournament. The Mules won the regular season and postseason conference championships this season. UNO is 3-5 all-time against UCM in postseason play.
This season's bid to the NCAA Regional marks the 10th time in school history a UNO team has earned a trip to the tournament. UNO is 18-16 all time in NCAA Regional contests. The Mavericks are 11-10 in regional games under coach Herold, who is currently in his 11th season.
Regional champions will advance to the double-elimination championship finals May 22-29 at the USA Baseball National Training Complex in Cary, N.C.
