Three Mavs Make NABC Honors Court

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Three members of the UNO men's basketball team were named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches' Honors Court this week. Senior #Andrew Bridger and juniors Tyler Bullock and Jeff Martin# all earned the honor.
The award recognizes student-athletes who excelled in academics during the 2009-10 season. They must hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.2 or better, have been at the school for at least one year and be either a junior or a senior.
Bridger finished his career with 1,128 points in more than 3,000 minutes played. This past season, he averaged 30.8 minutes a game, tying him for the team lead with Bullock. He was third on the team in scoring, averaging nearly 12 points per game. He led the Mavs in assists with 193 and was third on the team with a .357 three-point shooting percentage. He was a second team all-MIAA pick. Bridger majored in business management.
Bullock was UNO's leading scorer, averaging 19 points per game. He also led the Mavs with a .856 free throw shooting percentage. He was a first team all-MIAA selection, a Daktronics second team all-South Central Region pick and an honorable mention All-American by the Division II Bulletin. Bullock majors in business finance.
Martin finished second in team scoring, averaging 12 points per game. He played in all 31 games, trailing only Bridger and Bullock in minutes played. He attempted 247 three pointers, more than any player on the team, and finished second with a .397 three-point shooting percentage. Martin is a general studies major.
