CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – #Anja Puc# set a new school record in the 600 meters to lead the UNO track and field team on day two of competition at the Jack Jennett Invitational hosted by Northern Iowa.
Puc posted a time of 1:34.55 to break the old record held by Mary Ann Weiberg who ran 1:35.99 back in 1993. The 600 meters is not a national event so there was no qualifying mark set.

In other action, #Maja Mihalinec# finished second in the 60 meter dash with a time of 7.66. Teammate #Kayla Koepke# was fourth in a time of 8.03.
#Heather Minssen# took second in the shot put with a throw of 46 feet. Teammate Elizabeth Thompson was fourth at 40-5 ½, and #Lianne McNaughton# took fifth with a throw of 40-4 ¾.
#Madison Haugland# was third in the weight throw with a heave of 45-0 ¼.
The Mavericks return to action on Feb. 4 and 5 at the Frank Sevigne Invitational hosted by Nebraska.
