
Three Mavs Earn NFCA Scholar-Athlete Award

Three members of the UNO Maverick softball team have been named 2011 NFCA All-America Scholar Athletes.
Senior catcher Lauren Larson, sophomore pitcher Dana Elsasser and senior infielder Mollie Jones earned the award, which is given to any nominated player who achieved at least a 3.50 grade-point average during the 2010-11 academic year.
The Mavericks as a team finished 32nd in the Division II standings with a team GPA of 3.279.
