Mavericks Back in Weekly Hockey Rankings

OMAHA, Neb. - The UNO hockey team returned to the national rankings, coming in 19th in the latest poll from the website USCHO.com. The Mavericks also received votes in the weekly poll released by USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine.
The Mavericks began the season ranked 14th in both polls before falling out of the top 20 following back-to-back losses at the Alaska Goal Rush tournament in Fairbanks on Oct. 14 and 15.
UNO earned a tie and a win at Bemidji State last weekend. The two teams skated to a 3-3 draw on Friday before the Mavs responded with a 5-1 win on Saturday. It was UNO's first win against Bemidji State in eight games.
The Mavericks are now 6-5-1 overall and 5-2-1 in the WCHA, putting them in a tie with Minnesota Duluth for second.
UNO returns to action this weekend with games at No. 11 Denver on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 18 and 19. Friday's game begins at 8:37 p.m. CT and can be seen on Root Sports Rocky Mountain. DirecTV customers can watch the game on channel 683, and Dish Network subscribers can see the game on channel 414.
Both games also will be carried live on 96.1 The Brew and Mavericks Radio.
