Nash Named College Sports Madness Independent Play

UNO point guard Jamie Nash was named College Sports Madness Independent Women's Basketball Player of the Week on Monday for the week of December 19-25.
Nash was instrumental in helping the Mavericks win their first Division I game last week since making the jump from Division II to Division I.
In a 65-58 win at Western Illinois on Wednesday, Nash came off the bench and played 34 minutes, scoring 17 points and grabbing seven rebounds. Nash, a junior from Verona, Mo., shot 71.4 percent (5-of-7) from the field and 87.5 percent (7-of-8) from the free throw line. She also had three assists and three steals.
