Mavs Reschedule Baseball Season Opener

OMAHA, Neb. -- The UNO baseball team has rescheduled its opening weekend of play with Augustana due to field conditions, Head Coach Bob Herold announced Wednesday evening. Originally scheduled for a four-game series, the Mavericks will now play a three-game series over Saturday, Feb. 26 and Sunday, Feb. 27.
Nebraska-Omaha was initially set for two doubleheaders in Topeka, Kan. on Friday and Saturday, but will now travel to Joplin, Mo., to face Augustana with a doubleheader at 1 p.m. on Saturday and one game at 11 a.m. on Sunday. All contests will be held at Joe Becker Stadium.
