Mavericks Hold On To 12th in Weekly Hockey Polls

OMAHA, Neb. - The UNO hockey team remained in 12th place in both weekly Division I college hockey polls released today. The Mavericks are coming off a split of a two game series with Denver last weekend.

UNO has now been ranked 12th in the poll conducted by USA Today/USA Hockey for three consecutive weeks and has been 12th in the USCHO.com poll for consecutive weeks.

The Mavericks also ranked 12th in the latest power rankings from web site InsideCollegeHockey.com.

North Dakota is once again the top-ranked team in both polls. The Fighting Sioux are one of seven WCHA teams ranked in the top 20. The others include Denver (T-5), Minnesota Duluth (11), UNO, Colorado College (17), Wisconsin (18) and Minnesota (19).

The Mavericks finish the regular season this weekend when they visit Minnesota Duluth on Friday and Saturday, March 4 and 5. Both games begin at 7:07 p.m. from Amsoil Arena in Duluth and can be heard live on KVNO, 90.7 FM.
